This article will explore a couple of the incredible gated communities that can be found in Tucson, Arizona!

Gated Community--Title

Splendido-Rancho Vistoso:

Real Estate Tucson

The first community that will be looked at is Splendido, a retirement community that rests in the calm suburb of Rancho Vistoso.  If you’re planning a move to Tucson, Arizona, and looking for a community to retire to, Splendido very well could be the choice for you. From the stunning properties to the convenient location of the community to the features that Splendido provides, it has established itself as an excellent gated retirement community.

It seems only fitting that the first thing covered about Splendido is the enrollment program the community offers. Splendido is called a “Life Plan Community.” A life plan community is a retirement community that offers a range of different financing and planning options that take your plans and future health into consideration when getting started with your community. The biggest and most important feature of a life plan community is the continuum of care that it ensures.

The next part of the community we’ll be covering is the properties that you can find within Splendido, after all, it’ll be where you call home! Splendido has two different types of floor plans: villa and terrace homes. The smallest of the floor plans starts at 1,550 square feet and can go up to almost 3,000 square feet with plans that range from one bedroom to three bedrooms. On top of the incredible mountain and desert skyline views, the homes have a range of options from ceiling height to garage options.

Now that we’ve gone over the features of enrollment and the property, it’s time to go over the amenities and the surrounding area of Splendido. The dining options that you have within the community at Splendido have anyone under 55 a little envious as there is a dining experience that ranges from casual with Alonzo’s to fine dining at the Marbella as well as featuring a bar and lounge room and a private dining room for when you’re entertaining guests! Outside of the community, Splendido sits in Rancho Vistoso which has an extensive list of restaurants, shops, and services that could justify its article! With all of these features stacked up in its favor, it should come as no surprise that Splendido has no trouble bringing people through the gates of its community!

Gated Community--The Estates

The Estates At Capella:

After going over a 55+ gated community and all of the features that come along with it, it’d only be right that we go over a gated community open to people of all ages. The Estates At Capella seems like the perfect candidate for review. This gated community sits in the quiet and comfortable area of Oro Valley and features sizeable floor plans, beautiful scenic views, parks, and playgrounds for the family to enjoy, as well as beautiful trails to explore the beautiful desert landscape that encapsulates the gated community.

To begin, The Estates features four different floor plans all starting at above 2,000 square feet and the largest floor plan coming in at over 2,600 square feet. The ranch-style homes that are featured in The Estates all have a backyard that’s sizable enough for family fun or for a dog to have plenty of room to roam around as well as each home having a two-car garage.  Outside of the homes, the community offers parks and a playground each that features outside fitness equipment as well as access to the Prickly Poppy Trail which is a two-mile hiking/biking trail. The trail is an easy hike that people of all ages can enjoy!

Traveling outside the gated community, residents of The Estates can find a variety of shops, attractions, and restaurants to enjoy. Just within several miles of The Estates are multiple shopping centers such as the Oro Valley Marketplace which has many restaurants and stores as well as a movie theater. The area also includes multiple parks like Naranja Park which has soccer fields, a trail that bird watchers will adore as well as is connected to a few hiking trails that offer scenic views of the landscape as well as a stellar view of the Catalina Mountains. If trails and restaurants aren’t your speed then perhaps the multiple golf courses in the area are. El Conquistador Golf Course is a great example which features 36 holes that are spectacularly maintained and show off the beautiful landscape that surrounds it. The Estates also sit in between many incredible schools for kids of all ages. These schools include Ironwood and Canyon Del Oro High School, Cross Middle School, Wilson, and Copper Creek Elementary schools.

If a gated community is something you’re looking for in your next move when relocating then these are only a couple out of the many options you have when contacting your Local Tucson Realtor!
