It's only fitting that the list starts with the neighborhood of Sam Hughes as it was one the first subdivisions built in Tucson. Named after an early community leader of Tucson, Sam Hughes first began development in 1921. That long standing had the square mile neighborhood designated as a historic district in 1994. Blenman-Elm:

Beginning as a single home being built by developer Andrew Olsen on the Northeastern corner of Helen Street and Plumer Avenue. Over 35 years, development occurred in the neighborhood but as Tucson became more of a tourist spot and the university began to thrive a boom in development began in 1936. The development of the neighborhood grew to its peak between 1955 and 1960, which is when a sizable portion of the neighborhood was built.

The square mile historic neighborhood sits just east of the University Medical Center and is centered among plenty of restaurants ranging from Greek cafes to authentic Mexican food that will have your mouth watering! The neighborhood is also in the middle of multiple beautiful parks that can be enjoyed at almost all times of the year!

miramonte neighborhood

Miramonte:

A neighborhood sitting north of downtown Tucson that is known for its quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The neighborhood also sits along Speedway which has plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. Although it isn't a part of the neighborhood itself, it's a very short trip to make it to Reid Park which has plenty of space, a zoo to visit, and a good-sized golf course to enjoy.
